You've made it happen!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the efforts of the Massachusetts Autism Community the Massachusetts

State House of Representatives passed Ammendment #746 which mandates the

Department of Public Health to under take a prevalence study in order to

document the rising rates of autism. It would be great if parents would now

make one more call to their State Representative to thank them for their

support. And now on to the

Senate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sandy Benson (sgbenson@...)

I'd like to add to Sandy's message.... make those thank you calls! We must

continue to lobby our State Reps. and other legislators regarding any

proactive measures to bring attention to this epidemic. It's the time of

year when each of us are reviewing our children's education programs and

working hard to a. retain services and/or b. receive services for the next

academic year. Every year the reality of the need for more and better

programs hits me harder and harder, precisely because I know that the system

is already overwhelmed.... and there are just more and more kids in great

need lining up behind my own. Where are the resources? LeGendre
