I don't think you will gain alot now. i have gained from the first trimester

but i have read posts from a few that hardly gained nothing at all. If you

gain at this point I don't see it being alot but you should probabaly gain in

the

last few months as the baby grows.

Hi all

Is there anyone out there who did not gain (and didn't lose) weight

when pregnant? So far I haven't gained anything and I'm a little

more than 6 months pregnant. I keep waiting for the big gain like

some other friends I know. (I'm scared to death of it of course!)

Does this mean that maybe I won't gain or if I do I won't gain a lot?

I think everyone is diff. Depends alot on how far you are out from

surgery. I was 9 months out when I got pregnant and I lost 12lbs and

so far have only gained 7lbs of it back. I am 34 weeks.

I didn't gain any weight for the first 6 months of my first " post WLS "

pregnancy.

I ended up gaining a total of 7 lbs but lost it pretty quickly after she was

born.

That was Oct 2003. I'm now pregnant again, due Nov 2004. So far I've gained 6

lbs.

(I'm 21 weeks) I've also had problems with hypoglycemia and VERY low iron.

Also, I just found out I'm hypothyroid. Other than that, everything is going

very well.

Hello everyone!

I am now 32 weeks and have gained 32 pounds to date! I am 3.5 years out of

surgery so I think how far out you are from surgery makes a big difference in

our gain/loss during pregnancy. Everything looked good at my appointment; I

only gained 1.2 pounds in the past 2 weeks so I was happy! :) Trust me, I am

eating what I need (and don't need) to now as I know the baby needs it but I

hope to get back on track a few months after birth... I have been using the " I'm

eating for two " excuse way too much the last 6 months! haha

I had gained all of 4 pounds.. but then lost 3 over the weekend due

to food poisoning... but everyone is different.. just how your body

handles it! I wish I could be of more help!

After reading all the replies to my post, I realize that it's just

an individual thing I guess. My doc's scale is 6 pounds heavier

than mine at home and so I'm going by mine! I'll just keep trying to

eat healthy and whatever happens will happen....*sigh*

For the first 6 months I gained and lost the same 3-5 lbs and now I

am actually gaining. I figured it would happen later in my prenancy,

but I'm not really worried about it since its not been a large amount

and the babies are still doing well.

I am at 14 weeks and have lost 8 lbs. Food is just not appealing to me and

it seems like I am back to what it was like in the first few months of WLS,

where I could only eat a tiny bit and be full. My Dr. told me even if I lost

weight during the pregnancy, as long as the baby was growing well, labs were ok,

and I was taking vitamins, everything would be fine. I hope I don't gain

much. It is a little disconcerting when you lose weight, but your pants

continue

to get tighter! lol :-)

I will be 20 weeks tomorrow and have lost about 18 lbs total....

BUT I was only 10 weeks out of surgery when I got preggers..

I am currently at 197lbs.. at 5'... down from 262 lbs...

I am wearing stretchy 1x clothes.... I look 'funny fat " .... fat in the

tummy.. but not sure if I look preggers..

I do eat a couple of times a day... and my stand by is PB & J (just a

teaspoon) on hearty wheat bread... Jonah loves it... kicks and kicks.. LOL
