Guest guest
My son has very dry skin around his lips where he's been licking lately. I have been putting Eucerin lotion on it. Does anyone know if this is GFCF? I have their number (1-), but have to wait until Monday to call. Or do you have any great suggestions for controlling the lip licking or other products that you know our GFCF that would work? Thanks, Jen in Idaho
Guest guest
Oh my daughter has done the same thing! It took 2 months but we finally " broke " her of it by putting A & D ointment on her lips several times per day. But I have no idea if its gfcf or not! LOL! I was only thinking of food items at the time! But in terms of changing the behavior or making it more acceptable, we were told to try giving her a chapstick and teaching her to use it. It is socially acceptable to use chapstick. I'll be curious to see what others say. About Eucerin cream, I don't know either. But I use it regularly for my NT daughter (2 yrs old today!) for her eczema. She is gfcf too, because I am paranoid LOL! Hugs, H Mom to , 3 yrs, PDD, and 2 yrs TODAY! and NT Or do you have any great suggestions for controlling the lip licking or other products that you know our GFCF that would work? Guest guest
Boy have I been there! Licking till they bleed. Honey will help heal it, even when they lick it off. I just kept reapplying. I also mixed honey with vaseline to keep it there a little longer. They get into a cycle, it's sore so they lick, which of course keeps it sore. One of my sons has a dirt mark where he's licked, not sore, but gross. He's eleven and I can't get him to quit. Guess persistence on my part is the key.
