Guest guest
We're finally going GF this wekend, after being CF for a month. Only two dry cereals my son will eat are Cheerios and Rice Chex. I know Cheerios are now out, but what abt Chex? Are there GFCF substitutes for either? Joe Gallant 's dad (2.11, autism)
Guest guest
Rice Chex are out because they contain barley malt for flavoring (or they used to). There's another cereal that's very tasty that I used to buy at the HFS, but my son was craving it all the time and getting a little wild on it. I think it was made by Health Valley. It looked and tasted just like Rice Chex. Now I use Rice Twice (sort of a Rice Krispie cereal) and he won't eat it. I believe the other cereal had issues of cross contamination. They also make Corn Crunch-ems! which are a little bit less crumbly and hold up better if you want to keep them in a snack container for finger foods. Luckily we don't have corn problems.
