Guest guest
Hi all, I just wanted to share some of the things I do to get extra nutrients in my sons food. Immune system booster: I add ground up shitake mushrooms to the meat mixture. Pactitioners of Eastern medicine believe that mushrooms, particularly shitake mushrooms, are good for the immune system. I make a big batch and keep them in the freezer to use as needed. Calcium: I've just started using Watercress instead of iceberg lettuce. It has tons of calcium. I also add calcium powder to the bread I make. I use " Noah's Bread " recipe. Zinc: I've started making chicken nuggets with boneless skinless thighs instead of breasts because thighs contain more zinc. More Veggies: I add pureed veggies to spaghetti sauce. One book that I use to help me is " Feeding Your Child For Lifelong Health " by B , Ph.D. and Melvin B. Heyman, M.D. Michele in land Mom to Nick PDD-NOS 3.9 years and 10 mos.
