Guest guest
Thanks .. I just went back and checked to see if I had in incorrect term or the doctor was getting on the wrong schedule. Bren is having the tenotomy - clipping the small tendon - which is supposed to grow back fast - and it is supposed to be no big deal with the surgery done in the office or as outpatient. When Dr. Madigan manipulated her feet you could see how this very tiny little tendon could hold everything back! So yeah if you guys think something doesn't sound right let me know so I can follow up and make doc's on the right track! Thanks! Guest guest
That sounds completely normal.... And you are correct,I think that procedure is harder on the family than the patient. They are usually so little and you feel like they are just going through something so horrible but rest assured, it is typically a very quick procedure. The worst part for the child is being held down in my opinion as they don't or shouldn't feel the procedure itself and then afterwards, the casts are back on as usual. I'm not sure about the pain following. I don't remember Kolby acting any different. You would think there at least has to be a little pain????? Children are so resiliant (sp?) and heal so quickly. Again, I'm sorry for jumping the gun with the " tendon transfer " conversation.
