Guest guest
Terri, Our Social Worker (and I use that loosely) is pathetic. She is not interested. I am glad you feel better. I am sure its just a passing thing (praying). (SA) Go see a therapist of some sort. Coming into spring last year I was a mess. Nigel had been working for 3 months after being unemployed for 12 months, having come back from East Timor - he litterally did nothing for that time other than army reserve work. The household, children and medical duties still all fell on my shoulders. Then the so and so said that he was going to quit this job- the week before the kids birthdays and the business end of uni semester. I could not find the energy to even contemplate dealing with him, so chose to ignore him. As my exams finished I felt like a totally different person, I was not looking forward to xmas, barely had any enthusiasm for anything but did not show it on the outside. The best thing I did was talk to my GP who referred me to this wonderful psychologist. By New Years I was feeling so much better, she gave me the courage to look at myself, my life and to start to fix it myself. I also find that our social worker at the cf clinic is terrific - sorry but she is the only one that I have found is of any value - she has worked for the military and understands where my problems lie with Nigel as well as my issues with cf. Talk, talk, talk, to whom ever you feel comfortable with. Good luck Terri
Guest guest
-Hi again, Terri, I have to say, reading your posts is truly inspiring to me...Here you are, a woman who has had much hardship in your life, many difficult challenges...but not one iota of bitterness in your words or tone...You have taken what He has given you with a grace and a strength that is both courageous and admirable. We should all strive to be such a person. I am thrilled for you that your hcg levels are rising, that you are going to realize your dream of finishing school and that you have such wonderful hubby and son. I will pray for his health too, as he is so very young. The good news is that being so young, recovery from such a large surgery should be easier than say for a man my father's age (late 60's) for whom the ravages of diabetes have put him on the predialysis list and left kidney transplant as an impossibility for him... I wanted to ask you what you are studying and what career you hope to enter? Anyway, congrats on the good news...and one day at a time, right? Would love to keep in touch with you, so please feel free to email me.
