Guest guest
The red ears are a definite sign of a problem. Check out what he ate - pure corn, or a product containing several ingredients? I suggest listing all the ingredients in that food, then check it against the ingredients in the next incident, etc., to determine what the offending item is. IMHO, the red ear/poop problem sounds like a classic allergic reaction - I get a red face/hives/poop problem from certain molds on food. My son reacts like this to aspartame/nutrasweet and to an overload of artifical colors. With this type of a situation, the problem only occurs when the allergen is ingested (or in my case, touches my mouth), so it ceases to exist when the offending food is removed, unlike delayed hypersensitivity or peptide problems which are slower to resolve. > Hello all, > I have a question for all you experts... the last couple weeks we have been having a lot of loose stools, where he is not quite making it to the toilet. Which do you think is more likely...an inadvertant infringement or a new food sensitivity showing up, such as bananas or corn? His ears turned really red today after eating something with corn in it, then 3 hrs later a major poop accident. I'm thinking of taking out corn, but I'm dreading this big-time. Of course, I will do it if necessary, as we are committed to this diet and all the great improvements we've seen. If you do take out a food, how long does it take to notice the difference?...
