Guest guest
Hello to all! I hope all of you are doing well. I had my first OB visit today. I lost 4 pounds! I think that the losing 4 pounds is due to me feeling very yucky and sick feeling though. Have ya'll heard a OBGYN doc NOT giving a prescription out for a prenatal vitamin? With my first preg, that was the first thing he gave me. I am using a diff doc this time, b/c I was recommended to him by a friend that is a PA and he accepts my insurance. He is really sweet, caring and very informational with a lot of things. D. Guest guest
Robin, I was taking Folic Acid(800 mcg) and I kept having these REALLY BAD nearly blacking out dizzy spells, etc. I stop taking the folic acid and they are gone. Needless to say...I will not be taking folic acid anymore. D. Congratulations on your pregnancy, ! My OB didn't give me a prescription this time either, like he did with my previous two pregnancies. He told me that the over the counter prenatals are just as good as the prescription ones. Best wishes! Guest guest
I am only 9 wks along, but my first appointment was at 7 wks. My OB asked what vitamins I was taking (1 chewable Centrum multi, 800 mcgs Folic acid, b-12/b-6 sublingual and iron (Slow fe) 3 times a week). He said not to add a prenatal until after the labs come back. I see him again in 3 weeks to hear the heartbeat and will ask again if he thinks I need pre-natals. I worry about overdosing on some vitamins due to the Centrum that I currently take, so I am trusting his judgement. He has had many post-WLS patients and none of them have had any problems. I'll let you all know what happens after my next appointment. open rny 4/21/01 tt 9/02 edd 2/1/05 > Hello to all! I hope all of you are doing well. I had my first OB visit > today. I lost 4 pounds!
