Guest guest
I am a 34 yr old male with mitochondrial myopathy. Dr. Cohen in Cleveland was my doctor. His staff tells me that he doesn't have room for adult patients anymore, only for consults through another doctor. Does anyone have a good mito doc? Guest guest
Welcome to the group. I am sorry to hear this as I am also one of Dr. Cohen's adult patients. laurie > I am a 34 yr old male with mitochondrial myopathy. Dr. Cohen in > Cleveland was my doctor. Guest guest
Thank you Laurie. I think Dr. Cohen is such a nice guy. He was so pleasant and patient with my wife and I. Was a treat to deal with someone with such a pleasant way about himself after dealing with so many doctors with no bedside manner! I would sure like some suggestions on another doctor that might be closer to New Mexico if you know of anyone. Randy > > I am a 34 yr old male with mitochondrial myopathy. Guest guest
The MDA Clinic used in New Mexico is out of UNM Hospital for adults and Tingley Hospital for children in Albuquerque. You can find more info about them at this link: http://www.mdausa.org/cgi-bin/lookup.pl?query=87109&type=on I'm not sure where you are in NM - but this Health Service Coordinator is who you should contact. You will find them very helpful. Alice > > Randy > > Cindy on the list lives in New Mexico and I think she goes to an MDA > clinic doc.
