Hi,

Just went to Tops Supermarket the other day and thought I'd pass this on for

those of you who have one in your area. They added a new selection of Indian

foods (look in the ethnic foods area) and I found rice flour, poha and chickpea

flour in big bags much cheaper than at the HFS. They also had ghee and coconut

oil. We tried popping our popcorn in the coconut oil last night and it was

really good. Our autistic son who is not usually too thrilled with popcorn

wolfed down several bowls of it. It's always nice when he can share in a family

activity and popcorn and movie night is now one of them.

I recently bought Goya brand rice (and corn) flour, also much cheaper than

the HFS. Goya makes a line of Puerto Rican/Hispanic cuisine foods, good

quality and quite reasonable imo. I think in general when you can find

something in an ethnic section of the supermarket it'll be cheaper. There's

also an Asian market in our vicinity we haven't gone to yet, but that's

probably because we haven't gotten to do any bread baking yet. We even

found halvah from Lebanon across the aisle although that's something only

my wife and I like, it looks to be GF/CF (sesame and sugar).

I've got one recipe for sourdough bread so far. Can anyone refer me to

other good bread recipes? We aren't focusing on yeast as an issue with our

son because his BM's seem to be fine. Is that reasonable, or is there

another way to know if yeast is a problem?
