Guest guest
~ My OB did not give me a prenatal prescription either. When I found out I was preggers, I went and got an over the counter prenatal vitamin and have been taking that. OB looked at it and said it was perfectly fine and there was no need for a prescription. He said since there are so many otc prenatals nowadays, he doesn't write half as many prescriptions for them. Personally, I take the Twin Lab prenatals, as I take their calcium citrate and they are very easily dissolved by gastric bypass patients.....BUT.....there are alot of good ones out there. Just make sure you are taking your folic acid! C. WLS 8/28/02 EDD 12/31/04 Subject: Had my first OB visit today.... Hello to all! I hope all of you are doing well. I had my first OB visit today. I lost 4 pounds! I think that the losing 4 pounds is due to me feeling very yucky and sick feeling though. Have ya'll heard a OBGYN doc NOT giving a prescription out for a prenatal vitamin? With my first preg, that was the first thing he gave me. I am using a diff doc this time, b/c I was recommended to him by a friend that is a PA and he accepts my insurance. He is really sweet, caring and very informational with a lot of things. D. Guest guest
, I was taking folic acid(800 mcg) and it was making me very dizzy to where I couldn't hardly stand and nearly blacking out! I stop taking it and I feel so much better. Paradise, TX Lap Gastric Bypass: 4-18-03 Internal hernia repairs & Gallbladder removal: 2-12-04 Dr. Kuhn - 100 pounds!
