Christian got sick. When he had the tubes inserted in his ear there was

some difficulty during the procedure and he needed to have the breathing

tube inserted. Anyway, beginning on that day he stopped eating almost all

together for more than 2 weeks. When we went for a follow up they told me

not to worry about it unless he got a fever. Well, the next day, he started

with 103.4 on Saturday and by Monday morning at the Pediatrician's office he

was at 104.6 (with Tylenol). After looking down his throat she was able to

tell me that there was a cut obviously from the breathing tube. She was

able to determine that the cut was from the tube because of the time line

with no eating and developing a fever at that point. She said something

like that takes approx. 2 weeks to show clinical signs of infection.

Anyway, he got high doses of antibiotics etc. He slept only 45 minutes at a

time and it got to a point where I couldn't get up again so I brought him in

my bed.(BIG MISTAKE). So, now he is getting over some kind of virus and one

HORRIBLE diaper rash but he won't sleep in his bed for ANYTHING!!!! NOT

EVEN NAPS!! I cannot believe I did this to myself. He kicks and he moves

and drives me nuts all night. I am beside myself over this. We had such a

great thing going and I ruined it! I feel so terrible.

SORRY ABOUT THIS..I JUST NEEDED TO VENT!
