Guest guest
Very cool, Meridth.. we have the same due date (for now, lol!) and our surgeries were very close, too. Mine was 1/26/04. I don't think my surgeon will freak out, he's a pretty laid back guy, but I'm still scared My OBGYN is ok with it - I told the office when I called to make the appointment and I see her on Tuesday, so we'll see. She seems like a really nice and thorough doc so I'm pretty confident she will be fine. I decided to go with a female OB because of my bad experience in may with my PCP doing my pap. He was so rough (first male I've been to for pap) and nasty about it... I felt so violated! Then, he told me breast exams weren't important for ladies my age.... I said, " Hello... my grandma DIED from breast cancer. " He still didn't. I do self exams, but I'm not really sure about what i'm feeling for. Anyways, now that I have totally changed the subject, lol. Hubby and I are excited, regardless. I haven't told my parents yet, they will really give me a hard time and tell me I wasted my whole surgery and blah blah. I'm not looking forward to telling them. MIL is exstatic though and we will get a lot of support from her. Marj
