Guest guest
I have tried to look this up but can't seem to find what I need. I have the manufacturer and lots numbers of my child's recent booster shots. Can someone pleeeeease tell me how I can trace these lot numbers to figure out whether or not they contained mercury? Thank so much in advance! Debbie

Guest guest
Debbie, try this site to start with, although it doesn't go by lot numbers, it tells you amounts of mercury that are contained in certain vaccines. http://tlredwood.home.mindspring.com/mercury_content_in_vaccines.htm Here's another one to try: http://www.safetyalerts.com/t/g/thimtab.htm And, at www.909shot.com which is the National Vaccine Information Center you can order a list of " Hot Lot's " of the DPT (I think it's $25.00) which will tell by lot number & mfg what vaccines were reported to have adverse reportings. (Not because of thimerosal (which a lot probably were), but any adverse reactions reported). Hope that helps. Guest guest
Best way for future reference is to ask to see the package insert in the doctors office, it will state right on it if it contains thimersol. Guest guest
Sorry, need to leave this e-mail group, as I cannot keep up with the volume. But a quick reply before I'm gone. Your doctor's office should be able to tell on the label if the vaccine has the thimerasol. If they cannot tell for sure, make sure that they call the manufacturer. If they say they cannot call, do not accept that. We just went to the doctor's office for our oldest boy, a 12 year old - perfectly healthy guy. Asked the doctor to confirm thimerasol in the tetanus shot they wanted to give our son - made the call - YES thimerasol was in the vaccine. We said, sorry, you had better get a preservative free one. Doctor said " we'll look for it and order it if we can. Otherwise, we'll fill out a medical excuse for your son. " Very smooth process. This doctor is exceptional. Our middle boy has the autism.) So stick to your guns. If enough of us ask for preservative free vaccines, the companies will make them, esp. when they see that sales of thermasol-laden vaccines are decreasing. All boils down to the buck and WE can make it happen! Good luck! Felicia
