Stop freaking out. 5 pounds is OK in 12 weeks. I am going on 15 weeks and last

Dr. visit I had gained 5 pounds total. I told him I was a bit concerned about

it, and he looked at me like I was an alien, and said the same thing that

K. pointed out........we are now carrying a placenta, baby (even though very

small), amniotic fluid, have increased blood volume, and are probably retaining

some fluid on our own.

Also, I have not had a tummy tuck yet, maybe sometime in the next few

years....but I started to grow out of my jeans at about 8 weeks. I was " puffy "

all over. Now that I am going on 15 weeks, I am flat out in maternity gear,

unless I wear cotton shorts, etc. I'm sure after a tummy tuck, you would show

pretty quick having a nice flat stomach. (GRR....I am so jealous, LOL.)

Hope all this helps, you are not alone.

well at almost 12 weeks I have already gained almost 5 pounds! I am really

nervous that this in not a good sign and I am freaking out.

Also I really started to show this week! I am worried that it is to early

for me to show but maybe I am wrong. I had a tummy tuck at the same time as my

bypass and I think that since my stomach was so flat is why I have started to

show.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
