Olga,

Welcome to our group and congratulations on your twins.

It sounds to me like Aleksi's feet are not corrected properly. Do

you have access to equipment to share electronic pictures of his

feet (digital camera or scanner?)?

There is a lot of information in the files section and links section

of this board- have you had a chance to look at it? There is a

really good book available that you can download for free here:

http://www.global-help.org/publications/ponseti-cf.html

and a second companion sheet for parents here:

http://www.global-help.org/publications/cf.parents.pdf

Putting the brace on Aleksi won't help if it's causing him pain or

if his feet are not corrected completely. I hope that we can help

you figure out what to do. It is odd that you say that he's fine

during the day, but has problems at night. What concerns me most is

that you think that his feet are turning in again. If you can see

that yourself, then to me, that's a sign that something isn't

right. When does that Ponseti-trained doctor come back from

vacation? Have you been to that doctor before?

As far as sleeping, you can try putting a rolled up blanket or small

pillow under/between his legs to help prop them up.

Regards,

& (3-16-00, left clubfoot)
