Guest guest
My son is currently wearing the Markell shoes. (Born 12/27/04 bilateral c/f) In the first month that he started wearing them he got blisters really bad on both feet. We were told to rub a/d ointment on them once a day and change his socks twice a day. The sock changing would help with sweating/blistering. He has developed another blister on his left foot in the last 10 hours. I am keeping a close eye on it to see if it gets worse. Anyway my questions is, are the mitchell shoes better or worse? I have looked at pictures of them and the foot is more exposed to the air than in the boots. Do you think that there feet may sweat less? Any info would be helpful. Thanks,
Guest guest
, Blisters are caused by friction. So you have to figure out where and why his feet are moving in the boots and stop it. The reason for this is often that the shoes are just not on tight enough and the feet are moving about inside the shoes. Have you been given a copy of the tips document yet? I will send a copy to you when I get my other puter going here in a bit. oh wait... I put it on this one. Sorry, will send it right away. The Ponseti/'s are easier on the little feet yes. But for most feet, proper application of the shoes and fully corrected feet both make the Markell's a good choice. Don't worry, you're not the only one who has had this happen. Check out the info in the tips document and maybe something will ring a bell for you. Poor little guy, those little feet do not deserve blisters~!
