Please let us know how the surgery goes. hi kelly it sticks out over an inch....they have to do it next week cause they are afraid his bowels or intestines might get caught. Guest guest
My son had a small hernia on his tummy button. I was told to put some tape over it. I sort of pulled it all together and put surgical tape over it for a few weeks and it went on its own Rach, Steve & Connor -- Re: Re: news on Dominick In a message dated 5/12/2005 2:53:13 P.M. Guest guest
Angie- My son's is about 1 1/2 inches long too. The more full his belly is the worst it looks. It has been this way since birth but they told us they don't do surgery until age 3 because 90% of them close up on their own. It sounds like the hardest part for me will be keeping him down for 24 hours. They don't want him doing any physcial stuff for at least the first 24hours. At least with a 9 week old you don't have to worry about that! Please let me know how it goes! I'll be praying it is smooth sailing! > > In a message dated 5/12/2005 12:26:31 A.M. Guest guest
I have had two of my sons 5 million doctors ask what area of the medical profession I was in. I wonder if the Internet and obsession qualify you! Re: news on Dominick I've had people ask if I am a nurse! Guest guest
LOL yes, between the clubfoot (atypical to boot!), the allergies and the speech delay I am beginning to feel like a regular medical junkie! Dr Mosca and his cast tech, Sam, both tell me I should become a nurse for CF babies! They joke about it alot, but I know they respect that I have taken the time to gain the knowledge I have, and Dr Mosca actually personally thanked me for helping him learn about atypical clubfoot.
