8 months post open RNY and just found out I am 3 months pregnant

I just found out today that I am pregnant...about 3 months. I had

my open RNY October 21, 2003 and have lost 144 pounds. I am a little

concerned about being pregnant so soon and I have been taking

medications for the last month or so for a recent back injury. I

just got a big promotion and my husband and I just made an offer to

purchase a house that needs a lot of work.

Hi Davina!

WOW! You have a lot going on in your life! Congrats on all the

exciting things - especially your pregnancy!! I was 7 months post op

when I got pg and have had no problems! I am on a chewable prenatal

and take a B12 injection once a month.. was taking Folic Acid, but

my levels look wonderful.. so doc says I don't need to be on that

one anymore. Have you been to the OB yet?? I wish you the best of

luck and welcome to the group!

congratulations davina! i'm only 3.5 months out from surgery myself and 7 weeks

I had surgury on July 2,2003 found out i was pregnant in January 2004

and so far everything is fine with our little girl. I have more

ultrasounds (every 4 weeks) and see the OB every 3 weeks besides that

no harder then the other 2 preg. I also had a open RNY.

Congratulations, Davina!

Well, you must be feeling a bit stunned right now, lol...They say

that good things come in threes right? Your surgery, pregnancy and

hubby's promotion....For me it was kind of the same - had the

surgery, losing over a hundred lbs and getting preggo 9 mos post

op...The second thing was being asked to be on a news program for TV

about my weight loss, then a couple of weeks later, I found out my

dream of becoming a Mommy was not only possible, but I was pregant

already!

Three months huh? You didnt have any symptons? So how did you find out now?
