Guest guest
I purchase Terra brand Red Bliss potato chips. They have lots of varieties. It contains red potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, garlic powder, marjoram and thyme. I'm just getting into the whole yeast free diet, so I may have listed something with yeast unknowingly! d w pittard
Guest guest
If you keep looking, you may find potato chips that use cottonseed oil, canola oil, soybean oil or olive oil. Terra Chips has several kinds of snacks that use olive oil and various vegetables turned into chips or sticks. I think they have potato chips that are just potatoes, spices and olive oil. They are very expensive but I got a good deal on them at Trader Joe's if you have that store where you live. Is your son okay with nut butters? We use almond or peanut butter on rice cakes with jam that is made from fruit only...no added sugar or corn syrup. Someone told me to try Kosher bakeries and I got a ton of gf/cf goodies including cookies made from potato starch and a bunch of other stuff but no yeast. I'm not sure if they carry this type of stuff after Passover, though. Also Imagine makes some gf/cf puddings though I'm not sure about the sugar content. If soy is okay, there is a brand of waffles that are gf/cf, and yeast free, think they are called Van's. They are good...my kids love 'em and I don't think they are too high in sugar. We can't have them anymore because of soy otherwise I'd check the label for you. Are eggs okay for you? I discovered my son loves them hardboiled. I put stickers on the shell just before offering and that sparked his interest enough to try them. Another thing my kids like but maybe they are weird is avocados. I smash them and spread them on rice cakes. Hope that helps. Donna > Looking for ideas for snacks which are GFCF,cornfree, yeastfree and low sugar. Guest guest
We get Cape Cod potato chips (Whole Earth Collection) at our local HF store. They contain: potatoes, canola oil and sea salt. They make another chip that I saw at costco the other day but it had corn and/or cottonseed oil so be careful. The ones from the HF store are really good, just a little firmer than Lay's. Guest guest
I understand that Kettle chips (much to my dismay...I love them and they are made with the good oils) have cross contamination issues.
