Guest guest
I have never tried EnZymaid, but my son has been on the new enzymes from Houston Nutracueticals for three weeks with astounding results. He is 7 1/2 and has been on the diet for one year. I have never posted on this board before, but post often on the message board at www.gfcfdiet.com. Many of us there are having exciting results. To put it in a nutshell, I have been able to let my son eat whatever he wants with none of the awful behavior that we have seen with diet infractions in the past. The only side effect has been wetting which is expected to get better with time. Devin Houston is the formulator of the enzyme and also formulated SerenAid. He left the company that produced SerenAid and started his own company. His website is at www.houstonni.com. We are still gfcf for the most part, but allowing cheating here and there. My son has now eaten out three times, been to a reception with cookies and lemonade, bought a school lunch (!), and is taking wonderful foods in his lunch now that he couln't tolerate before such as, peanut butter, cashew butter, jelly, and carrots. I have heard others say that EnZymaid did not help much with their child, but I am hearing very exciting things about Devin's enzymes. My child is taking both of Devin's enzymes, Peptizyde and HN-Zyme Prime. My husband is even taking the HN-Zyme Prime for digestion and is having good results. I am a little nervous about giving my son " bad " foods, but his behavior is actually better than ever since starting the enzymes, so we diving in. > At the recent conference in Michigan, they talked about getting good results with EnZymaid. I am considering adding this to Austin's supplements. Hi- This is great for your son! However, I wanted to give you a little word of warning: I was at the DAN conference yesterday, and spoke a little about digestive enzymes. She said that they can help, but they are not a substitute for the diet. Giving digestive enzymes for an occasional infraction is a good practice. However, using them all the time and going off the diet is like giving your child an antidote along with their poison! " Food " for thought... Guest guest
Yes, we use Enzymaid and are 100% GFCF. Why do both?? Well, my son's tests came back showing he was low in " natural " digestive enzymes. It merely helps him better digest foods, such as; corn and soy, of which he appears to have minor issues with. a - Madison WI > I'm curious as to how many are using EnZymaid and staying 100% GFCF? Guest guest
We give it to twice a day, a half capsule at a time. I just put it in his water at mealtimes (mostly). We had a stool analysis done that showed he was low in natural enzymes. It was done through Great Smokies. a > a, Do you the enzymaid with each meal? What test showed decreased > digestive enzymes? Thanks,
