Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I came from Yahoo GBIC who referred me to you when I found out I as pregnant. I had my Gastric bypass 4/16/03 Lap. RnY- I went from 323 down to 219 as of 1/5/04(-104 lbs). That's when I stopped losing weight and found out I was pregnant. I am now 28 weeks pregnant with my first baby boy to be born Septmeber 26. I have some questions and concerns: 1. I have gained about 20 lbs back and I'm worried about shrinking my pouch back after my baby is born. Is this possible? My portions have definetely increased from 1/2 a sandwich to 1 whole sandwich (to give you an idea). 2. Is dumping syndrome hurtful to my baby? I suffer from this almost 3 times a week. Usually mild. I can feel my heart rate increase. Thanks for listening. Lydia Highland, CA
Guest guest
1. My Open RNY was 1/25/00 and my stomach-holding capability was back to normal within 2 weeks of delivery. 2. I dumped just a few times, and was told by my OB it wasn't a problem for those few times. Ask your own OB & surgeon. Sheila
Guest guest
I have heard your appetite will decrease after and I am still waiting to see for myself. i don't think dumping will hurt the baby unless you get dehydrated yourself and that will affectt he baby. good Luck and Congratulations.
