Hi to all

This is for the parents that give their children all kinds of vitamin

supplements-

Has anyone taken these supplements away for sometime to see if these things

actually work?

These supplements and medications- is this a life time thing and what are the

long term effects?

My ASD son regresses without his supplements of B's, clo, evening primrose,

magnesium and DMG. He's 12 and is wanting to be like everyone else, and not

take them. So yes, I've seen the evidence that these are working and how!!

Thank you Sue for the reply, will this be a life time thing for your child

and what are the long term effects?

I chose no supplements for my 3yr old because the early intervention is

working well with Gabe. Slowley but surely he's coming along. He'd probably

come along a lot faster with supplements but a long use of anything has some

sort of side effect in the long run so I choose not to go that route. I have

been pretty lucky so far.

Good luck with your baby

Rebekha,

Brett has been on SNT and DMG since August, and we have seen great

improvements in his awareness and desire to interact. (We started

both at about the same time, so I'm not sure whether one is having

more effect than the other.) A couple months ago, Brett had a

stomach virus and didn't eat or drink hardly anything for 3 days, so

we couldn't get his supplements in. He regressed to almost constant

toe walking, no eye contact, and carrying around an empty video box

rather than playing with appropriate toys (and screaming when you

tried to take it from him). As soon as he started back on the

supplements, he returned to his old " improved " self.

It was kind of scary- we had forgotten how bad he used to be before

we started the supps!

You may want to try your own experiment, but I'm convinced they work!

We've had the same experience with my 3 year old daughter Sam. We

are on SNT and TMG for almost a year now and I won't ever not give

her those vits again.

It also convinced me the diet could help her (it has) and now I am

researching some other supplements. It does concern me that I don't

totally understand and neither does my ped why the vits do improve

some of her skills. So Monday I have my first appt with a DAN MD in

our town.

It's expensive-Wish us luck. Who knows where this path my lead?
