Never had this problem -- Nicky never really liked soy - he prefers the rice

milk.

I have tried to remove dairy, but my son's grandparents were sneaking

him milk and milk products (i.e. pudding). We've now moved out and

that won't be a problem anymore! :-D

I have two questions: 1. How long before the casein is out of the

body's system and 2. Has anyone had their child on rice milk and

soy, then when rice milk was reintroduced, have them reject it? I'm

going to try mixing half and half like before and perhaps that will

help him drink it better. Okay, so I have three questions... :-)

question number three is what is the best kind of soy milk or rice

milk that is gluten free? Gluten is next on the list. (this weekend)

Thanks!

Thanks so much!! I am looking forward to trying this.

Do you recommend a brand of vanilla flavor? And can I just buy it at a whole

food store??

I agree - they taste awful

But the boy eats them -- and that's all that counts!!

We love Pacific Rice Non-dairy milk here...the plain low-fat. I tried the

vanilla (the girls loved it) but I was worried about the vanilla! :o) Go for

it mommy! I've seen the biggest regression with accidental milk intake! Hugs,

H, mom to 3 yrs, PDD; and 2 yrs, NT

BTW I tried Veggan cheese slices...ones that are casein free. They tasted

horrible!!!! I hated them!

Yes, mine did. And he reacted bad to the soy, so we have no choice. I've

improvised the rice milk recipe so he likes it better, so we're good again.

If you'd like to try my recipe, I'd be happy to share it.

LOL! I " ll keep offering her the cheese then! Hopefully I won't grab it by

accident! She actually asked me for cheese the other day...tells you how well

that she can actually ask for cheese! Thank you God! We are sticking to the

diet, in addition to other stuff...speech therapy, ABA, etc.
