To add to the posts about enzymes and Enzymaid: I believe Devin

Houston, the formulator of the new enzymes so many are having succes

with, is going to be at a hotel across from the DAN conference to

answer questions. His enzymes are Peptizyde and HN-Zyme Prime. Most

people are just using Peptizyde, but we are giving my son both

because he has such problems with phenols. Or, at least he did!

Hi Kelley:

I would like to know if you're still following the GFCF diet while using

the enzymes. I'm not eager to challenge the diet, but since both my sons

have problems with some phenols, I would love to try anything that would

allow them to eat a broader variety of foods. Also, when do you give the

enzymes. Right now, I've been using EnzymAid from Kirkmans and give it

once in the morning and once in the evening. It seems to help them both.

Many thanks.

Yes, we are definitely still gfcf, corn-free, soy-free, etc.

HOWEVER, my son has begged me every day to let him buy his lunch, and

Friday I did and it was wonderful. I ate at school with him. I even

took a picture of him. He gave me a big hug and blew me a kiss

goodbye. He ate corn tortilla chips, cheese dip, pineapple and

orange drink. Each of these should have caused him numerous

different reactions for three days, but the only reaction was wetting

overnight (which, as I said, is due to the enzymes and is expected to

cease over time). I have no intention of taking him off the diet any

time soon. I am just giving him the gift of fitting in and the gift

of a varied lunch! The bonus is we can go out to eat again. The

only food I question as causing a problem still is chocolate,

although the reaction was mild compared to before.
