Guest guest
Randall You weren't the only one who couldn't get in. I had no problems last week, but tonight I couldn't get to the MDA page at all. I tried several ways and they all came up as not being found. Guest guest
Laurie, Had different problem(s). When entered user name and password, screen suddenly disappeared, browser closed (tried it with both Firefox and IE) and took me back to email application (I clicked on link in email). This was the link S mentioned in her email. When I clicked on the somewhat different link in the chat reminder email I did get to the MDA screen but it (again) showed no chats scheduled for that time and couldn't log on from there either. Wonder if other chats for other conditions are also having these problems. Randall Re: Once again, can't log in for chat tonight Randall You weren't the only one who couldn't get in. Guest guest
Laurie and Randall, Sorry to hear the new DigiChat is causing problems, but it is not unexpected. A couple of things: Randall do you have Java enabled on your computer? DigiChat is a Java based application. You also must keep the sign in window open even after you enter chat or you will be booted from the room. Also do NOT follow the link on the reminder notice that comes through Mitoldies (we will have to work on changing that). It will lead to the old azstarnet page which is no longer active and thus shows no active current chats. This site is available only for past transcripts. The correct link for MDA DigiChat is: http://www.mda.org/chat/chatroomlogin.aspx Please bookmark this as the current chat location. Randall, I'm not sure what the problem is with your nickname and password. With yours and Laurie's permission I would like to email your concerns to Penny the MDA chat Administrator to see if we can get it worked out. I just checked for transcript of last nights Mito chat and it wasn't posted yet. I was hoping to get an idea of who and how many were able to get into the room. Does it have to be this complicated and difficult to simply log in for a chat?! Am I doing something wrong? Do you have to use Internet Explorer, perhaps?? Guest guest
Kristie Feel free to e-mail Penny with what happened last night. I'm wondering if Digichat is being overwhelmed with many people trying to enter at the same time. I'm having that problem with my local server which is through the school district and all the staff is trying to get the final paperwork in and using all the nodes (all day). Last week I was sitting in the foyer waiting for the chat to open and was the first one there. I wonder what they have the maximum number set at for our chat room? How are you feeling? It is always good to see a post from you. How is your H & H? Hugs, laurie > > > > > > > Laurie and Randall, > > Sorry to hear the new DigiChat is causing problems, but it is not > unexpected. Guest guest
I'm not sure Laurie. I think there are a LOT of unknowns yet about DigiChat and unfortunately we are going to have to discover them as we go along. I go in tomorrow for IV therapy, Aranesp (if my kidneys are out of failure) and transfusion. It is going to be a long haul this time. Guest guest
Kristie, There were 5 of us on chat last night. I had a little trouble getting on and got bounced once but the rest was okay. We were learning the features on the chat. I hope we didn't screw anything up since we kept hitting the lightning bolt before we figured out it meant kick out lol. Poor Bionic would be in trouble if it worked. My problem last week was that they changed my nickname by adding in a dash. Now I know. I hope your procedure goes well and that you are feeling better soon. S
