Uric acid?

Hi everyone.

I have a question.

I just had routine tests done as part of my normal yearly checkup.

I had a high uric acid count.

The doctor asked if any joints hurt or my big toe (checking for " gout " ), but

they don't.

She said she wasn't sure why that would be elevated.

She wants to recheck it in 3 months (as my cholesterol was high also)

I was wondering....could this be a mito issue?

I know lactic acid can be related, but I wasn't sure about uric acid.

Thanks

Sheila

I don't know if this will help, but I have had a high uric acid off

and on, but symptoms of gout. I was put on the gout diet the first

time, but then it became normal and I have not used the diet again

when it has gone up. I have several other abnormal values that come

and go.
