Guest guest
hey Vikki, sounds to me like you're not only experincing round ligament pain, you also seem to have some sciatic nerve pain as well, i'm a nurse, not a doctor, but i'm 32 weeks and woke up this morning in the same pain that started at my lower back and radiated down my legs to my ankles, sometimes, your baby will situate itself in such a way that the sciatic nerve is compressed, and believe me, there is a very thin line between compressed and pinched when it comes to nerve pain, the only thing that gave me relief is position change and a heating pad, along with the tylenol, I would, however, steer clear of the tylenol pm, anything that sedates you will sedate your baby as well....just adding my two cents..good luck and congratulations Meko WLS 4/15/03 total loss so far--138lbs weight gain with this pregnancy-3lbs! my little king is due July
Guest guest
I know round ligament pain can be extremely painful. I had a lot more of it in my pregnancy with my son 4 years ago. This pregnancy I am plagued with sciatic back pain!!!Ugggh! Maybe the baby dropped and that is why you are having the pain. I know my son has dropped in the last week and it feels very painful at times in a different place.......like low low abdomen or the top of my cervix/vagina. Its not terribly comfortable and the pain can take my breath away. Not to mention everything is pushed up anyways due to this big baby so breathing is a bit hard! Did your Dr check and see if you are dialated at all? Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! New Baby Boy Swenson Due July 28, 2004! Guest guest
I don't know what you could do either except soak in a nice warm bath. It sounds to me like the baby is pressing on your sciatica nerve. that always hurt my back and legs but baby dod move off mine eventually but in the meantime it ws wuite painful. I hope you feel better soon. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!!
