Guest guest
Hi Sabina, When was a baby, I had home nursing care for 2.5 years, and had a baby scale in my house, as the nurses weighed him everyday. I still have this scale 10 years later, and I must admit, it does become kind of obsessive when you are constantly weighing your child. I know this because I have a 3-yr-old and a newborn now, and of course, I am using the scale again. I have another suggestion for you though. I also have a nice digital scale in our bathroom, as the obsession of weoghing ourselves asadults doesn't stop either - lol. My scale is pretty accurate. If you invest in one of these instead of a baby scale, you will get more use out of it. Weigh yourself holding the baby first. Then weigh yourself alone. Subtract your weight from the combined weight to get the baby's weight. I just tried this & got the same weight for the baby on the baby scale. My digital scale measures to the tenth of a pound. The important thing is the consistency on one scale, so even if it is off a smidgeon, you will still be able to see how much weight your child is gaining on a daily or weekly basis (and you too unfortunately - lol). You can find a good quality digital scale starting around $60, but probably even less on eBay. Good luck! Kim C. > Hi > have any of you invested in a baby scale to weigh your child?
