Guest guest
Ann, Thank you for letting us know you are OK. Please stay safe and take care. I can't imagine the stress of all you are going through on top of medical issues. I also hope everyone in Katrina's weather pattern is able to stay safe and know that many many others are thinking of them. Stay strong..... sgl1dayaat wrote: >Hi everyone- > >We are now in the waiting stage for Hurricane Katrina in West Central >Alabama. Guest guest
Ann, Thanks for letting us know you are ok. I was thinking of you since I heard before I went to work today the hurricane had made landfall and about the tornado warnings. That was really smart of you to grab the movies, pictures, and 's handprint. Don't think I would remember to do that. It must be nerve wracking waiting. We had a whole lot of tornado warnings this past spring. It seemed for a period of about 3 weeks every night the warnings would be on the television about a waterspout or tornado sited over the large lake that we moved to within 15 miles of last year. Keep us posted as you can--glad you are safe. Janet Sample Message from Ann (HFMito (AT) cableone (DOT) ..) Hi everyone- We are now in the waiting stage for Hurricane Katrina in West Central Alabama. The hurricane is supposed to hit Columbus dead-on, so we are really glad i grabbed all our home movies, and most of our pictures, 's handprint. We are safe in here and my husband is staying in Starkville. I spoke with him 2 hours ago he said weather was starting to get rough. We are still a few hours away from the brunt of the storm, but have had 16+ tornado warnings I think around the state so far. We just missed one tornado this afternoon by a few miles. So anyway I just wanted to let everyone know we are OK. Ann My cousin near Mobile, AL said that Gulfport, MS has no power lines at all, they've all been pulled up and washed away. Mobile is flood with 10+ feet of water. We have not heard whether my another cousin has his house standing in Gautier, MS. Guest guest
Ann, I'm so glad that you decided to evacuate. I feel so bad for those who stayed. As a resident of Bradenton, FL (2 minutes from the beach) I know how scary these hurricanes can be. I hope that your family, friends and home make it through the storm okay. Good thinking on the family memorabilia. I have a list of things to pack in case I have to evacuate so I won't forget anything. TVs and clothing can be replaced. Photos and baby handprints cannot. Good luck and God bless.
