Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear this. Having a pet that long is like having another kid. I have 2 Rotts that are gonna be 8 years old and one has very bad hip problems and it's getting hard for him to get around. I know my day is coming but it doesnt make it any easier. I know this is easier said than done, but try to keep your head up and remember he isnt sick anymore. My heart goes out to you.
Guest guest
Robin, Wow, I'm so sorry sweetie. You know I totally understand what you are feeling since we both have pugs, they are a special breed. I too have been going through this struggle as one of my cats is getting close, it is touch and go daily with her, but I just can't do it right now with just giving birth to Hannah. We both know that only time will heal your hurt, that and the fact that our pets are waiting for us on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Hang in there and email me anytime time. Axelrod What a sad day here I had to have my Pug dog put down this morning and my heart is hurting ssooo bad. I LOVE her soooo much. She was blinded by that big dog years ago so she has been my hip buddy for 9 years. If I went to the bathroom she followed, if i took a nap she went with me, If I lay on the couch she would lay on top of me. When i was on the computure she was under my desk. I miss her ssoo much already. She has been ssoo sick lately with diarhea (sp) and hasn't been eating and I know she was getting dehydrated, she only pee'd 2 times in 3 days, so I knew it was for the best for her but GOD why does it have to hurt so bad. The boys do not know yet since we did not tell them so they could get a decent day in at school but I am sure there are going to be alot of sadnes and tears when they get home. I sent Madison to work with Pup cause I can't stop crying and she does not need to see that.
Guest guest
This may or may not help to think about. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...
Guest guest
I am so sorry for your loss. It's never, EVER easy to lose someone we love. I have 4 dogs and dread the day when any of them pass on. I wish I could just give you a huge hug.. but take comfort in the knowledge that she isn't suffering anymore.. some never have the luxury in life of crossing the rainbow bridge in peace.. you have given her the best you could have. She sounds like she had a wonderful life.. and now you have a little canine angel guarding over you as well. I love pugs myself. We have one with the rescue I work with, and she's fantastic.. she's the director's dog, and has completely won me over to the breed. I really am sorry.
