Now, that you took the time to let me know I feel guilty asking you this, but can you give me some more examples. I just never heard of such a thing, and now I am so curious. For one, I thought a tomato was a tomato (maybe pesticide has to be washed off or something, but thats all I thought). I hope you don't mind, whenever you get some extra time (now thats a joke, a mom doing this diet for her child that has extra time !!!!) HAPPY EASTER, and again thanks. on Long Island New York * ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
, No, a tomato is not longer just a tomato. I know corn and soy are the 2 major genetically modified crops. Potatoes are also. Some are engineered with viruses or bacteria to resist weeds or pests. Here are a couple of web sites to give you more info. http://www.ucsusa.org/agriculture/gen.market.html-this gives you a list of some food that is GM and with what and why. www.purefood.org gives you a lot of info on GMO and www.purefoods.org gives you info from the other side of the coin so you can decide for yourself. I remember that some time ago in the news that Frito Lay and Mcs told their suppliers that they did not want GMO ingredients but they are not testing to see if their ingredients are not GMO. Hope this answers your questions. Ann in Memphis
