Guest guest
Hi , Every child on the AS is different, and diagnosing the " milder " (less stereotypical) children can be difficult unless the diagnostician is really up on things and has seen a zillion children. I knew my child was on the spectrum 5 years before I could get a dx. You are not alone. Try www.gluton-free.org for info on peptides and AD/HD. Some celiac disease websites also talk about CD (gluton intolerance) causing behaviourial problems and mental illness. Also, wheat often causes eczema. -- In GFCFKids@y..., wrote: > Hi all, > I am a little behind on keeping up on these posts but I just read about someone asking if there was a website on kids who benefit from the diet who are not autistic and I would be interested also. My son is not autistic . He has had severe behavioral problems, excema, speech apraxia and some processing issues and fine motor skill problems. I don't know what he is, my guess is perhaps on the spectrum? I had his peptides tested and he was very high on gluten and casein so I started the diet 3 months ago. His behavior improved tremendously! His excema cleared up and there is slight improvement in the other areas. Do non autistic kids have high peptides or maybe he is somewhat autistic? If I had him diagnosed now he wouldn't seem as bad as he was. In the past I couldn't even get him into a doctors office at all. Just wondering if anyone else has a kid like mine.Thanks.
