Guest guest
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get caught up on the posts for the last couple of weeks. I usually read ever day during the week but since I haven't I'm so so behind. My husband & I were suppossed to meet with Dr. H last week on 2/10 to go over Collin & the external fixator " taylor spatial frame " and our questions on doing it, if this is our last option etc.... However we had to cancel and the stress of waiting is driving me nuts, we go back now I think on 3/18. I woke up on 1/31 with terrible pains ( I have such a good pain tolerance so I knew it was bad ) I went to the ER (never did that before, but I knew I couldn't wait for the doctors office to open at 8 am) so I went around 6 am and discovered I needed emergency major abdominal surgery..that day!!! What a scare, I'm going to be fine though...so needless to say we were in shock but I'm out of commission for about 4 more weeks, so we decided to push back our descions with Collin so I could get better. It's hard though I was waiting for that appoinment to relive so many questions but hopefully time will fly by quickly. Yesterday I really noticed his foot turning in while running...my husband finaly saw it too. People in my family always say Collin looks fine to him including my husband, but I always see his foot turning in, maybe just mom's notice more sometimes I'm not sure. It was a relief though that my husband saw it too after I pointed it out yesterday. Well since I may not get to read all posts now for the next few weeks, I just wanted to say I will still check my e-mail every few days at chele323232@... so if there is anything that comes up on fixators, or children in our area (South Jersey) that need help, or anything else that anyone feels that would be beneficial to us please feel free to e-mail us. Guest guest
Wow Michele. I'm glad you are okay. Was it the appendix (sp?). It sounds like you are recovering. Man, I hate when things sneak up on us like that. I got a severe kidney infection over this past summer. Same thing (not as severe), it snuck up on me out of left field. I was immediately hospitalized. It was around the same time I discovered bad things about 's previous doctor and just before our second opinion with Dr. Herzenberg. My mom swears it came on because I was stressed to no end about 's feet. I don't know though. Hopefully this wasn't the case with you. I believe stress can bring on major illnesses, but I don't know about this extreme. Again, I'm glad you are feeling better. Stay in bed and let dh do everything! try not to worry about feet until March. I know it is impossible, but you have to concentrate on your health first. Happy Healing!
