Guest guest
I agree with you Apple is a little crazy and actually sounds like a hippy name from the 60's. I did have a friend whoes sister had the nickname Apple but it was actually short for something much longer in Thai. She didn't get teased and I think girls have it easier with cutsie names. Now Dick Trickle.... Guest guest
Could you believe it??? Wonder just how it is pronounced. A'Pel? Apple... is it Appelonia? Who cares!!! I couldn't believe she named her daughter Apple... to each their own, I guess. I'm a little more conventional, I guess. Toi > That is a STUPID name. Hollywood is getting STUPID...That poor kid. Toi --------------------- Ha.. I just remembered.. My mother's middle name is " Appolonia " ... which is the name of my Great Aunt.. but we all call her " Aunt Belle " . Italian thing. Appolonia was also the name of Corleone (Godfather movies) first wife. He married her in Italy.. and she blew up in the car.. then he came back to the states and married Kay. - Mommy to: Noah - 10/14/02 - 31 weeker - 3lbs 11 oz edd November 18th http://www.love-my-kids.com
Guest guest
I think her husband is a hard rocker? I thought maybe she allowed him to name the first name, while she named one after her Mom then maybe they came up with Alison together. I'm sure Oprah or Jay Leno will ask her the next time she has her on the show! lol My husbands neice named her daughther Mason. I thought that was really strange for a girl (I was thinking Mason for all you older Burr fans- lol). She spelled it " Macin " which is much nicer than the more masculine Mason. Guest guest
I don't even have to go back to know who you're talking about. I thought " Apple " for a girl was different. I can't say much though, if we have a girl, we're naming her Manhattan, and if we have a boy, it's Danson. Jeri WLS 12/10/02 EDD 12/06/04 > I think her husband is a hard rocker? Guest guest
I will be naming my daughter(that is what they think it is but not 100% sure) Sienna after the color also.(or the city in Italy where the color gets its name)I have always liked the name and thought it would be a nice girls name. Damn if they didn't have to name a mini van that also but I'll get over that one. - Diane > I grew up in California around a lot of hippies.....I went to school with a girl named Happy Rainbow.... > > The wierdest name in our family belongs to my cousins daughter....she is named Azure (after the color). > > Chrystal > > Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! > Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! > New Baby Boy Swenson Due July 28, 2004! > Zookeeper for 2 big dogs and 5 cats who let me feed them! > http://chrystallife.50megs.com/ > http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/seeswensonauctions/ > > > >
Guest guest
a friend of mine named her daughter Asia. I have never even asked why....lol
Guest guest
It would be strange, however, if your daughter doesn't have reddish-brown hair... I knew a girl a few years ago who named her son Raven... but he was a very pale blonde with pale blue eyes. Something just didn't jive! hehe And BTW, those Toyota minivans are great, from what I've heard. I like that name a lot. I also like the color (I'm a watercolor artist and use Burnt & Raw Sienna often). -Kris on 5/18/04 2:49 PM, Diane Koch at dikoch@... wrote: I will be naming my daughter(that is what they think it is but not 100% sure) Sienna after the color also.(or the city in Italy where the color gets its name)I have always liked the name and thought it would be a nice girls name. Guest guest
I too am an artist and an art teacher and decided on that name for a girl while i was in college. I have dakk brown hair with redish highlights and my husband has medium brown hair with some redish highlights. His brother had red hair and mother and sister have strawberry blond hair so there is a chance that her hair will be auburn. The middle name will be Rose named after his mothers middle name which she got from her grandmother who in turn got from her grandmother so it is kinda a tradition for his family. Hubby thought about the name and said well I guess our daughter will be shades of red with a name like Sienna Rose and decided he liked that. - Diane > > I will be naming my daughter(that is what they think it is but not > 100% sure) Sienna after the color also.(or the city in Italy where > the color gets its name)I have always liked the name and thought it > would be a nice girls name. Guest guest
Ooh, Diane, I like that very much. I really like it when there's a specific connection or significance within a name. That girl I mentioned, who named her son Raven? She saw the name in a romance novel... she also named her other four subsequent children from romance novels as well, but I think I blotted their names from my memory. hehe What would be really embarrassing someday is to then have to SHOW your adult child the book that you got their name from, and have them actually READ it and realize what their mother was reading... EWW!!!! " Sienna Rose " is beautiful. What kind of art do you like to do best? -Kris on 5/18/04 5:31 PM, Diane Koch at dikoch@... wrote: I too am an artist and an art teacher and decided on that name for a girl while i was in college.
