Guest guest
, I am a 21 year old with RSS. I want to try to allay some of your fears if I can. All of the RSS adults that I know are very typical, completely functioning adults who all say they had good childhoods. Yes, we do face some medical issues early in life, but those issues do tend to get better as we get older. I have always gone to " regular " public schools and have never had any trouble making friends or doing things that other people my age do. I was a cross country runner in high school, and, despite being short, did pretty much everything I wanted to do. I am now a junior at the University of Colorado and plan to go on to law school when I finish with my undergraduate studies. I think the key is to treat your child age appropriatley (not size) and never hold them back because they have RSS. I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to contact me either publicly or privately with any more questions. My email address is hillary.jorgensen@ colorado.edu (no space). Best Wishes, Hillary 21, RSS
