Hi Everyone, Hope all is well with everyone. Wanted you to know that Zachary is now a big brother to . finally came 10 days late on January 18th. He weighed 10 pounds 4 oz and was 22 3/4 inches long. The first words out my mouth were - " are his feet really straight? " His feet are beautiful and of course so is the rest of him. Zachary is adjusting to life as a big brother quite well. We're adjusting to life as parents of two - almost as well as Zachary is to his new role! Wanted to let you know that I contacted Dr. Ponseti about the new Michigan dr. (in Grand Rapids). Typically, we drive to Iowa City each summer to have Zach's foot checked. We were hoping that going to Grand Rapids (two hours as opposed to 10+) would be an option for our checkup. Dr. Ponseti said this would be absolutely fine - we're breathing a huge sigh of relief there. Of course, we've enjoyed seeing Dr. Ponseti and trust his judgement more than any other - but knowing that he trusts the skills of this doc, and having him literally right around the corner is a blessing for us. Of course, if he suggests something completely outlandish, we'll make a trip to Iowa City for a second opinion (we're not anticipating this). The Grand Rapids dr. sounds great, especially since Zachary is on check ups now, especially now that you have another little one to tote along.
