Born With Straight Tootsies!

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well with everyone. Wanted you to know that Zachary is

now a big brother to . finally came 10

days late on January 18th. He weighed 10 pounds 4 oz and was 22 3/4

inches long. The first words out my mouth were - " are his feet

really straight? " His feet are beautiful and of course so is the

rest of him. Zachary is adjusting to life as a big brother quite

well. We're adjusting to life as parents of two - almost as well as

Zachary is to his new role! :)

Wanted to let you know that I contacted Dr. Ponseti about the new

Michigan dr. (in Grand Rapids). Typically, we drive to Iowa City

each summer to have Zach's foot checked. We were hoping that going

to Grand Rapids (two hours as opposed to 10+) would be an option for

our checkup. Dr. Ponseti said this would be absolutely fine - we're

breathing a huge sigh of relief there. Of course, we've enjoyed

seeing Dr. Ponseti and trust his judgement more than any other - but

knowing that he trusts the skills of this doc, and having him

literally right around the corner is a blessing for us. Of course,

if he suggests something completely outlandish, we'll make a trip to

Iowa City for a second opinion (we're not anticipating this).

Congratulations Holly!!

I am so pleased for you! The Grand Rapids dr. sounds great,

especially since Zachary is on check ups now, especially now that

you have another little one to tote along.
