Guest guest
, Thats a beautiful story. Dh and I are naming our daughter after our grandmothers as well. Major congrats! Axelrod Well I went to my Perinatologist today AND...... Everything is wonderful!! Well besides the fact that im still on bedrest indefinately because of my low blood sugar but the baby is growing well. We actually measure 5 days ahead of my original due date. My amniotic fluid is exactly where it should be!!! Now for the even better news!! Let me explain for a min... When we found out I was pregnant we told my grandmother and her comment was " I am so excited to bad I wont be here to see the baby be born " . This threw us off a little bit because although She was old she was doing well.. We knew her time was coming but she always said she wouldnt be here much longer ever since my grandfather died 10 years ago... Well 2 weeks later she passed away in her sleep. The day she died I told her that this baby was a part of her and if it was a girl her name would be Evelyn Rose named after my wonderful grandmother... So today we found out that infact our little Evelyn Rose will be here to bring us back Mamaw in spirit!! I just cry knowing that she will probably be as stubborn and loving and wonderful as my grandmother was and will always be in my heart!! SOOOOOOOOO ITS A GIRL!!! My little Ethan just said " I am going to have a sister BUT Mom can the next one be a boy? " lol ok lemme get throught this pregnancy first...lol Huggersssss to all and those who were keeping me in their thoughts!! ITS A GIRL!! Guest guest
AAWWwwwwwww, That is ssooooo sweet. That makes me all teary eyed. My Mom passed away before I had any kids but i swear she is still here watching them. I know your Grandmother is going to be right there with you the whole way through your childrens lives and your grandmother is ssooo much a part of you that she WILL be in those children since she helped make you the beautiful person you are today and now you are passing all that to your children. Congratulations on a baby girl to honor your Grandma. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
, Your story is so sad and sweet at the same time. I too loved my grandmother so much that I am naming my child, if it turns out to be a girl after my grandmother. I was fortunate to buy a house next to hers and take care of her full time for 3 - 4 years before her death in 2001. My son was born in Oct. 2000 so she got to hold him and love him and see me through that pregnancy. I so think that she watches over all of us and sees Cole everyday. Today he used her rolling pin as we rolled out dough. I keep her memory alive (even though he never knew her) by telling stories about her and showing him pictures, etc. It's a wonderful thing. I hope I too can be as fortunate as you and have a little girl but if not we'll be happy with another boy. I'd like to be able to use grandmother's name though! Happy for you!, EDD 10.3.04 > Everything is wonderful!! Well besides the fact that im still on > bedrest indefinately because of my low blood sugar but the baby is > growing well.
