Guest guest
My son is getting canker sores again and I can't figure it out. Last year they were from food he was allergic to but now I don't know why unless it could be a new thing he has become allergic to. What happens is he eats and then a long string of drool starts pouring out of his mouth and the he sstarts to touch it and then he must scrape his nail on it because it starts to bleed. Then he is so upset can't sleep and eating hurts more. But I noticed that it isn't every time he eats. Could corn be causing mouth sores? he has no fruit except diluted pear juice, occassional cantloupe, and peaches ? But he does eat a lot of pop corn, I use a lot of the fleishmann's lite maragine(corn oil) and gerber graduates. But I always have used them not something new. It is so frustrating too because he won't open his mouth and let me take a good look. help, cathy

Guest guest
Canker sores appeared in Jeff. We did Epsom salt baths 3-4 times a week and they have not been back. I know they can also be allergic responses, but for us it was a sulphanation issue and the Epsom salts solved it. Try a good soak and let us know how it goes (use 2 c. epsom salt in a warm bath for 10-15 minute soak.) Cheers, A Jeffs mom Re: canker sores/corn? My son recently started getting them a lot too... Guest guest
We've been doing the epsom baths for about a month now, but I've only been using 1Cper bath 3X per week. I'll try increasing it -- thanks! Re: canker sores/corn? > > > > My son is getting canker sores again and I can't figure it > out. Guest guest
, Are you saying that canker sores can be due to a sulphanation issue?? I get them often and am wondering ......about what you are saying. i figured I had to pass down some of this mess to my child........could it be that or do I just get them from stress and dormant virus reappearing...??... Hope you are having a good day, Re: canker sores/corn? > > > > My son is getting canker sores again and I can't figure it > out. Guest guest
HI ! Good day here (and tough in some issues but OVERALL good!) Canker sores can be issues with: - allergies - overload of vitamin c or citrus - sulphanation issues (body not able to process certain foods properly) For me... when I drink more than one small glass of OJ, I get canker sores. For my son... he has a problem with processing certain foods... (phenols and salicilates specifically.) If he gets these foods, we do the epsom bath thing and he is canker sore free! Maybe you should try a soak and report back to the team!!!! We would love to hear how it goes! Hugs, A jeffs mom Re: canker sores/corn? , Are you saying that canker sores can be due to a sulphanation issue?? Guest guest
My eldest son gets them, they go away with him taking zinc. He won't take zinc as a preventative, (doesn't like the taste?). In any case, they go away within a couple days, start shrinking almost immediately. Lolita
