Guest guest
Hi e! First off congratulations! Welcome to motherhood! It sounds like everything's perfectly normal! The first of many pains and of course many more joys to come! >>I am feeling really tired<< Oh yeah! I can relate to that one...Get all the sleep you can now because after the baby comes you won't be getting much! >>I am having pelvic pain and pain that is by my hip bones (which someone told me was normal because of stretching)<< Never really had pain in the pelvic area, but I've had some pretty intense hip pain. >>my breasts are so tender I wish they would fall off<< Don't expect anyone to touch these babies for awhile now. My DH knows that they are off limits til I'm done bfeeding. >>sometimes I have slight cramping (which feels like sharp gas pains) << I've experienced it with both my pregnancies...depending on how far along you are it could be pain from implantation. >>Also I am hungry, but nothing ever sounds good<< Eat what you can when you can. I pesonally had some mental issues about eating because of my fear of weight gain. I was hungry but not allowing myself to eat so I got sick. That little tiny rice sized squirt requires so much energy and will suck it out of you anyway it can. Listen to your body and trust what it's telling you...you'll do great! Guest guest
Sounds about right to me. I had NO morning sickenss around this time either and each pregnancy I had alot of cramping and achiness and it gets better then toward the end it gets to come back from the pressure of the baby when it drops down. It will get better. In the first 4 months i craved everything but Nothing was what i wanted after I got it either so iw as grazing, not good but at least i ate and baby is doing well. Make a list, cause we all do forget when we get there, of all the things you want to ask you doc at your first appt nad put it in your purse now so you don't forget it Also, don't feel young and stupid, i was 33 when I got prego for the first time and even though i ahd many women in my family who gave birth it was s till scary and confusing to me. That is normal. Good Luck God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
In my opinion you are pregnant! Yes those ALL sound normal to me in fact though each person and each pregnancy is different what you are describing sounds more typical than anything else. For most people the worse of the symptoms pass after the 1st trimester and it is easy going until the end when you are just ready to have it over with. Hang in there and when you feel these annoying symptoms relish in the fact that you have the mirical of life growing inside of you! - Diane > Hello everyone! Guest guest
e (I like your name BTW) Everything you've described sounds more than normal to me - because it's the SAME thing I felt with this pregnancy and my pre-op with my son nearly 7 years ago. I am now 16wks and am still tired this time around. I think it's due to my anemia and malabsorbtion problems (I am seeing a high-risk dr) but aside from the mild cramping and breast tenderness, it's the only real symptom I've ever had. I also think it's normal to not want to eat as much. For me, it's like one of those 'sit on the couch' evenings before starting your period...craving SOMETHING but can't put your finger on it. And no matter how many things you try, you just can't find the perfect food item. Even when I do find something that kicks my taste buds, I get full as if I'd just had the surgery a few months ago...and it's actually been 4.5 years! I think as long as you're not spotting or in PAIN from the cramping, everything sounds good...get in to see your doctor so you can be as healthy as possible. Good luck and congrats! Guest guest
Hi e. Not to worry, the 1st trimester is not eternal, hehe. I'm an amateur myself, but your symptoms are typical. Fatigue was the most disconcerting prob, since I was used to having TOO much energy following wls. Had a couple of dizzy spells, the NP said to be sure & sit down asap, to avoid falling. Find a good snack, like wheat melba toast or whatever, to help w/ nausea. Just think how transcendental & wonderful it'll be when it's your turn to hear the heartbeat & when you see your bee-bee floating around during the US. Oh, there's plenty of sites that send out weekly email newletters, like babycenter etc. You'll be fine! Guest guest
You sound text book to me!!! Yeah.. the stretching is youchy.. the good thing about the breast tenderness - it DOES get better.. the food thing is still dicey with me .. it's really hard to figure out what I want cause nothing sounds good.. I usually make husband pick and then just eat it.. but yeah, I know what you mean. It's my 1st one too! I am really excited for you! I get nervous too - and that's also normal! LOL!
