Guest guest
Janice, we took a little at a time out of Evan's diet. He was 6 yo old and I wanted it to be easier for both of us BUT if you went cold turkey a couple of weeks ago and your child is adapting well, I would not go back to gluten just to take it out slowly. You should be over any big withdrawals by now, IMHO. Betty
Guest guest
I've talked about this in the past. I took Austin off Gluten and Casien at the same time. At the time, I wasn't on the list and really had no idea what I was doing. I also started him on Super Nu Thera vitamins -- full strength dosage. I now know that you are supposed to start out with 1/4 dosage. He survived it all but his withdrawal was awful. He was verbal prior to the diet but became non-verbal about 1 week into the diet. He was in such a daze that he walked off a jungle gym at the park and broke his arm. Because of the way he was acting, his PT asked me if he had a injured his head. He didn't hurt his head -- it was withdrawal. He did get through it. I don't think I would re-introduce gluten now. Wishing you the best. Guest guest
I went cold turkey because I couldn't wait to do them seperately. It probaly was an overload on his system in the beginning but I was very impatient. After the first two weeks things started to calm down and I started to see big changes. I guess it all depends on the person but it might be better to do one thing at a time. MA
Guest guest
Hi Janice, I did both with in three days, I had no computor and no guidance and was desperate. The changes I saw were immediate and so positive, that my son gave little resistance to the changes he liked the way he felt- he said day three " I remember how to play this way! " We are also now corn free and nitrate free. It is very had to be free anything and as far as withdrawl goes I bet there are still a zillion sources that you have not discovered yet that will ease the withdrawl, I would watch for any instant craving and cross-examine the ingredients with the list. Good luck. __________________________________________________
