We used suppositories with my son until we found he would take the pills

(opened up and mixed with water). The suppositories, along with the secretin

were obtained though a compounding pharmacy as ordered by our DAN Dr.

Tari,

I'm not sure how it tastes, but I'm pretty sure it's not too good, DMSA has a

very oily smell. Fortunately/unfortunately with all the supplements my son

has had throughout his life he's become fairly tolerant of bad tasting stuff.

I just make sure he has something to drink right away after the medicine. I

think some people mix DMSA with applesauce which may make it more palatable.

The problem I had with the suppositories was that sometimes my son would have

a BM within an hour or two of getting the DMSA and I couldn't be sure if it

had all dissolved/been absorbed by then.
