Guest guest
Wow that's exciting news! You must be very happy that you've proved the previous doctor wrong, I know we were. I have a Practical tips page on my website, http://www.clubfoot.co.za/practical_tips.htm But it's more for the younger child, as I don't have experience in getting an older child used to FAB. was 3 months when we started full time wear. Clothing is important for convenience of diaper changes. We found loose dungarees and pants with snaps all the way around that we used all the time, with sweaters, T-shirts or vests depending on the weather. PJ's were all-in one-suits also with snaps. Had five of those and they got a lot of wear! Also, I'd say show how they work (he's a boy, they're fascinated by things like that!) and I think you'll find that he adjusts very quickly, these kids are amazing. I'm sure you'll get a lot of useful advice from other people on the list. Once again, congrats! and 24 Jan 2003, bilateral cf www.clubfoot.co.za Great news from Dr. Carey We saw Dr. Carey today and he says JOhns little feet are ready to go into the boots and bar. we are going tomorrow to get him everything he needs. We are just thrilled, especially since our previous Dr. said he would definetly need surgery on both feet. Dr. Carey did advise us that it will be a difficult time with the boots and bar because he is older (15 months) but we will persevere. Does anyone have any tips for the boots and bars? What should I expect? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
