Just make certain that you fill up with " good " food first... proteins, complex carbs, etc... stuff that has nutritional value. I once had a friend who advised me to FAST during the first two weeks following the birth of my baby because that's how she always lost her pregnancy weight the fastest. She was a natural skinny-mini, of course, and had had six children and still looked fabulous. It was a stupid idea, but at the time, I took it very seriously because I had been so worried about gaining back all I'd lost after WLS. I couldn't even make it through the first DAY when I was back at home from the hospital. I was so hungry I couldn't bear it. When I would nurse my son, I would experience intense thirst, then I'd be ravenous and want to eat everything in sight. I decided that, for me, I needed to recover in a way that would be peaceful and non-stressful... and fasting wouldn't be that choice. LOL Besides, I can't imagine how nasty my milk would've tasted if I'd fasted. UGH Anyway, listen to your body. If you're truly hungry, then you probably need to eat. If you're just bored and can't think of anything else to do, call one of your girlfriends and yak on the phone to take your mind off it. It took you nine months to get to this point, and I think it's unreasonable to expect to immediately snap back to pre-pregnancy anything. Let your body recover on its own pace, and don't be upset if it's slow. -- Kris Wood " The fact is that political stupidity is a special kind of stupidity, not well correlated with intelligence, or with other varieties of stupidity. Guest guest
I remember being very hungry from the breastfeeding in the first few weeks after pregnancy. Just make sure you are hungry and not thirsty because you need a lot of fluids to feed that baby and not get dehydrated. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old!
