Guest guest
I LOVE my GRACO travel system and had graco for my twins and madison too and I just bought a new one for the new baby. They stand up well and last. I have my last one with Madison still but wanted a new one for this baby since it is my last. He is spoiled already, lol... I did see and Eddie Bauer stroller yesterday that i really liked. This lady at my boys school had one but i think they are more expensive. I got my graco at Sears when they went on sale a few months ago.. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
Hey!! My husband and I are in the 1st time category too and have been researching the heck outta strollers..I have asked EVERYONE I know with kids and the opinions are so varied.. but inevitably, I hear that the travel system strollers are heavy - with some exceptions! You can look up the weights of the strollers.. and we finally settled on the Graco Metrolite Delancy pattern.. it's a travel system, babies r us.. and it by far one of the lightest strollers.. I looked it up online just now - and all they give is the shipping weight, not the actual weight..and I can't remember right off the bat! Anyway.. I know people who have the Metrolites and LOVE them! And are very happy with them.. Overall - things to check for - get rubber tires, not plastic.. the plastic tires can get small pebbles in them and then they make all sorts of noise. the ones with the suede material get really really hot.. Hope that helps! trish > Being a first time mom-to-be, I am baffled at the choices and brands of strollers out there. So many types, sizes, colors, etc! > Hubby got a book called " Baby bargains " written by parents who basically tell you their opinions on what is good, bad, crap, worth/waste of money, and excellent. > The stroller section alone in here is a hundred pages long. Hubby is a researching person, so of course we are looking at EVERYHTING. LOL. > Anyways, we have looked at tons of strollers from babies r us, sears, specialty stores, etc. and are arguing about what to get. I like the travel system strollers that come with an infant seat and car base. Some people say they are great, others say they are too big and bulky after a few months and not to get them. I'm looking for anyones opinion on them and why you like/dislike them. > Most of them are one handed folding, and really not heavy as everything is being made so light these days. And also, space in the car is not a big deal for me, I have a huge van instead of a little trunk. > Anyones opinion would be most welcome! > > C. > WLS 8/28/02 > EDD 12/31/04 > >
Guest guest
, When I had my daughter 10 years ago, they didn't have the travel systems. I had a huge stroller plus an infant seat. I told myself next time I would get a travel system. Well after 10 long years of trying and waiting, it is finally here. I am 33 weeks along and about a month ago I picked up my travel system from layaway. I am going with the whole winnie the pooh theme so it is a sage green color with winnie the pooh and friends on it. I got the whole set including the highchair, swing, playpen and stroller from walmart. I see so many women with them and it seems so easy especially when the baby falls asleep in the car then you can just put the seat in the stroller and continue on with your errands. Good luck on your stroller buying. EDD#2 8/2/04 Have a great day!! __________________________________________________________________ Introducing the New Netscape Internet Service.
