Guest guest
Hi all my names and Im new to this group. I was hoping someone, anyone, could help me! Im 5 weeks pregnant and will be 1 yr post op on May 8th. I spoke to my doctors office last week and the nurse said that I will have to talk extra vitamins, be extra careful and will be classified as high risk. Well I figured it will be fine. Today I got a call from my doctors office and it was the receptionist calling to say that the nurse spoke to the doctor ( my surgeon ) about my new condition ( im pregnant...its not a condition ), and she was calling cause the doctor asked her to call me and tell me that I should consider not having this baby. They said that this baby will be born with severe deformities and disabilities. I am so upset now, I just keep crying...why would someone say those things! Thats just mean! Is this true? Should a doctor be able to say that? Are there any statistics that would show me the healthy to complication ratios? Im sorry this is so long I just dont know what to do now. My husband and I are very happy that im pregnant and I dont want to not have this baby. Please help.
