My OB didn't actually bring this up at my last appointment when we set the date

I think because we already have talked about the chance of me having a

c-section. I know that this is a chance so I am definitely keeping it in the

back of my mind as a real possibility, especially since they know that my amino

fluid is already low so I get the feeling that my OB isn't going to mess around

if he gets any indication that the baby is having trouble. I sure am praying

that I start to dilate on my own, but I have the feeling in the back of my mind

that it may not happen. I can tell that my body is preparing for delivery

because the signs that all the books and websites talk about are there except

for losing my mucus plug and dilating. I so appreciate the prayers that things

go smoothly!

I am happy that you have a date for induction but just wanted to

throw this out to you incase you haven't already discussed it with

your doctor - which I'm sure you have.

If the cervix doesn't dilate enough after you use the meds and you

don't start having contractions you'll probably have to have a C-

section. This happened to me. They tried to induce ON MY DUE DATE

because preWLS I was so big and they thought that the baby was so

big (he was 7 lbs. 15 oz) and it just didn't work. I went on on

Wednesday night, did the cervidil? and then they started the

Petosin? drip the next day and I ended up having a C-Section on

Friday night because labor just didn't happen.

I certainly hope this doesn't happen to you. Best of luck with
