Guest guest
Sorry this took so long to post, but things have been hectic to say the least. Aerin Hanson was born via C-Section on March 29, at 7:28 pm weighing 9 lbs 1 oz (so much for " low birth weight WLS babies " , huh?)and 20 1/2 in long. I was induced at about 8am that morning and never dilated past 9.5 cm, and the doc said pushing against the remaining cervix would cause swelling, so we did the alternative. She's beautiful and we're thrilled. She has about 2 inches of copper colored hair all over her head. She looks like her dad thru the eyes, and has my lips and nose and LONG toes. She's been sleeping about 3 to 4 hours a stretch at night, so we've been getting some great rest. I've lost 16 lbs so far. I have horrendous constipation from the hormones and the pain meds I was on after the C-section (I was taking Tylenol 3)but it's getting better. First time mommies, hear this, it's common to get constipation from the hormones secreted from the labor so start taking stool softener in the hospital so you're not in the same boat as me!! I have been in more agony from the constipation than the incision from the surgery. You all take care, and I'll be checking in and lurking for a while. This motherhood thing is more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. Love to everyone. Kari Hanson
