Guest guest
I take in hte morning with my coffee my prenatal, my multi w/ iron, my folic acid 800 mcg, and my b-12 sublingual 1000mcg. I take a calcium plus d about 2 hours after that and once again in the evening when I remember. I put them by my computer so I remember to take them since I check my email all day. You can take the calium both at once but i want to try to get it to absorb well so I take it at different times to see if it makes a difference but i don't think it does so i will probably start taking them both at once. Guest guest
Dianne, Viactiv does not have the proper type of calcium for us. We need calcium citrate not calcium carbonate. We cannot absorb the calcium in viactiv because it requires stomach acid to access it. We don't have enough stomach acid, hence we can't access it. As for taking your flintstones and a prenatal and folic acid -- please check with your doctor and make sure you are not getting too much of any one vitamin> Some vitamins in excess will wash out of the system while others will build up to toxic levels. Double check that. You do not want to take calcium and iron together. As long as you avoid taking those at the same, you should be okay. Oh and dont take them with grapefruit/grapefruit juice. That can prevent abosrption of some medications and vitamins. Ferguson Rasley mailto:dferguson@...
